Michael Cannon

Mr. Cannon has over 30 years’ experience as a corporate finance lawyer and financial executive providing legal and financial consulting services to entrepreneurial organizations. He advises the SeaSpire team on matters relating to global capital, the law, as well as entrepreneurship.

Previously, Mr. Cannon served as Partner of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal LLP (now Dentons), where he handled a wide variety of private and public corporate finance and M&A transactions, as Counsel to Mayer Brown LLP in its securitization practice, and as Corporate Counsel to BearingPoint, Inc., a $3.5 billion international management and technology consulting firm. He has also co-founded and has arranged financing for a wide variety of early-stage or start-up companies, particularly in the field of medical technology, where he has served in financial, legal and operational capacities.

Mr. Cannon received his BBA. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and his JD from Harvard Law School.
